24 June 2026 – Mr. Mongkol Hengrojanasophon, Chief Executive Officer and President of Cristalla Co., Ltd and Cristalla Group, together with representatives from the three Sugar Mill Associations, met with Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Energy, at the Ministry of Energy to discuss opportunities for advancing Thailand's clean energy agenda.

The meeting focused on promoting the utilization of clean energy generated from the sugarcane, sugar, and ethanol industries. The initiative aims to create additional income opportunities for farmers through the utilization of sugarcane bagasse and cane leaves, while strengthening downstream industries such as biomass power generation and ethanol production.

The proposed collaboration aligns with the government's clean energy policy by reducing dependence on imported energy, enhancing Thailand's energy security, and supporting the country's transition toward a more sustainable energy future. The participants also exchanged views on related policy matters to help strengthen and accelerate the implementation of government initiatives in a stable and sustainable manner.
